| There are aftermarkets for other cars that do make street coilovers. On my Audi S4, I have Stasis Streetsports. They were very affordable and made MUCH more sense than buying a shock/spring combo. I got them for $800 from my friend who had bought them for $895 in a group buy. But the normal price on such coilovers on the S4 is about $1100. It really isn't that much more than a shock/spring set (which would be $700-$800 anyway). Stasis is a VERY high quality name in the Audi community. I absolutely love my Streetsports on my S4. I couldn't be happier with my decision. They are super comfortable on the street but are stiffer than stock...perfect for a daily driver. And then I had the customizeable drop that I wanted since I didn't want to go quite as low as most of the aftermarket springs did. Now, I asked Kuah about this for the Z. He said that the Topline Aragosta coilovers have a progressive spring and are very comfortable on the street. That's what he recommended to me for similar behavior for the Z. Kuah will tell you that coilovers are not necessarily overkill for a mostly street-driven car. I've always thought they were until getting involved in the S4 and also after talking to Kuah. Anyway, I hope this helps. But it would be a great idea to talk to Kuah about this (splparts.com). Enjoy!
